Program Management / Information Technology (IT)
Effective program management (PM) and consistent application of best practices provides our clients with the knowledge and confidence their tasks will be executed on time, in budget, and uphold the high quality standard for which CSI is known. CSI incorporates all five of the industry-recognized project management phases: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and control and closeout. Our well qualified, PMP certified project managers develop, document, and implement standardized processes and ensure continuous improvement processes (CPI) are embedded within each identified process area. This CPI process allows our clients to capture performance metrics and implement innovations to achieve efficiencies in schedule and budget across projects. CSI provides PM support services in many fields including logistics, information technology (IT), and engineering. CSI attributes its success in these areas to having a solid foundation and expertise in the functional and technical aspects of these domains. We have been able to expand our services through the unique combination of capabilities to include knowledge management, strategic planning, roadmap development, risk management, communications, and business case analyses.

Logisitics and Engineering

CSI provides Systems Integration, Engineering and Logistics Analyses to document the functional requirements, establish standards, and policy and guidance development for DoD weapon system program offices associated with:

• Total Life Cycle Systems Management (TLCSM)

• Performance Based Logistics (PBL)

• Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)

• Automated Logistics Environment (ALE)

• Condition Based Maintenance plus (CBM+)

• Maintenance Plan Analysis

• Design Interface Maintenance Planning (DIMP)

These policies are instrumental to the DoD and Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE) initiatives, because they include a broader Systems Integration plan for Technology Insertion. CSI has extensive experience and success in both the formulation of the principles of PBL and its implementation. CSI uses this experience to conduct independent Program and Budget Assessments of DoD Programs at the DoD level. Our team members are recognized pioneers in the transformation of Logistics practices and processes by Industry, Academia, and various Government agencies. CSI personnel are known as Subject Matter Experts in the Logistics field and provide niche capabilities.

Integrated Vehicle Health Management (IVHM)

CSI is the leader in defining and implementing Integrated Vehicle Health Management (IVHM) for NAE through its copyrighted process and toolset at all levels of maintenance for smart/non-smart aircraft and ground vehicles. We are currently defining requirements and implementing our process to improve the readiness of the F/A-18, H-60, H-1, V-22, E-2/C-2, CH-53, EA-6B, Aviation Support Equipment and other weapon systems. Our IVHM process is a system engineering discipline focused on the maturation and utilization of vehicle health monitoring system data throughout the engineering and logistics life cycle of the system. It implements a “system of systems” approach to taking multiple disparate processes (e.g. built-in-test (BIT), BIT Maturation, Integrated Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) Verification) and systems (e.g. Automated Maintenance Environments (AME), Supply Chain Management) through seamless integration providing an integrated decision support tool allowing for proactive decisions to achieve higher RFT assets at a lower cost. CSI is a recognized industry expert in the development and utilization of Automated Maintenance Environments. An AME is the conduit to evaluating the current health of aircraft based upon data recorded on the aircraft health monitoring system. CSI is knowledgeable of the various AME software tool sets which are comprised of aircraft data stripping and analysis tools, expert diagnostics for aircraft Built-in-Test (BIT) and fault data, integration with Maintenance Management Information Systems (MMIS), feedback mechanisms for technical data, Data Warehousing/Mining for data analysis, Embedded Training, Supply Chain Management, RFID/UID technology for Total Asset Visibility/Management, and Dynamic Resource Management.
